The Law Firm celebrated the 20th anniversary of Attorney Goldberg's graduation from Suffolk University Law School. This year marked the 20th anniversary of Attorney Goldberg's graduation from Boston's Suffolk University Law School back in 1987! And while the times have changed, Attorney Goldberg and the firm continue to specialize in representing personal injury victims and to dedicate ourselves to the personal representation for our clients. Also, in June we note Legal Assistant Marie Ritt's one-year anniversary with the firm. We know that our clients continue to appreciate her personal assistance. Attorney Goldberg attended the Annual Personal Injury Law Conference in Boston. The conference included a Keynote Address by Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Marshall, a review of the last year's important case decisions, and a panel discussion by judges of the Superior and Appeals Courts. Additionally, Attorney Goldberg participated in workshop sessions for automobile accidents, brain injuries and psychological injuries, and mediation and arbitration. Although Massachusetts, unlike many other states, does not require it, The Law Firm of Scott D. Goldberg, P.C. is committed to continuing legal education. Attorney Goldberg participated in the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys' (MATA) Lawyer Advertising Forum. This meeting was prompted by Attorney Goldberg's posting on MATA's on-line listserve in which he openly criticized attorneys who directly solicit injury victims. Attorney Goldberg was disturbed when a law firm attempted to contact an individual directly whom it learned was injured. Attorney Goldberg advocated for a change that law firms should be banned from directly soliciting individual injury victims. The Law Firm of Scott D. Goldberg continued its tradition by making another contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For each case that the firm wins in excess of $100,000 by trial, arbitration, or settlement, we make a donation to help grant the wish of a sick child. Our most recent gift was the purchase of a "Wishbuck" to help grant Caleb's wish to ride an elephant. The Law Firm of Scott D.
